Paul Stanton Kibel of the International Association for Water Law will moderate the session, and the panelists will discuss the legal and environmental complexities of transboundary basins. The speakers include:

  • Gabriel Eckstein (Texas A&M), who will present on interconnected waters under International Water Law.
  • Jonathan Lautze (International Water Management Institute), who will analyze basins shared between Botswana and South Africa.
  • Gilbert Anaya (International Boundary and Water Commission), discussing basins shared between Mexico and the U.S.
  • Juan Pablo Galeano (International Water Lawyer), speaking on the Guarani Aquifer shared by Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay.
