Application Process

New applicants for membership must be reviewed and approved by the Executive Committee. If approved, you will be notified and an invoice will be emailed to you. Once the invoice is paid, your membership will be active.

Note: The "1 Year Automatic Recurring" membership term requires recurring billing, once per year. This option requires that you have a PayPal account and that you use the PayPal account to pay your dues.

Payment Methods

AIDA membership dues and donations to the Association can be accepted via

  • PayPal
  • Credit or debit card -- This is processed through PayPal. It does NOT require a PayPal account except for the "1 Year Automatic Recurring" membership term. See more details.
  • Bank/wire transfers. 

A PayPal account is required only for the "1 Year Automatic Recurring" membership term.

Reduced Fee Membership

This is a special type of membership with reduced dues of € 22/year. This includes a payment processing fee.
  • This type of membership reduces cost barriers to AIDA membership for qualifying applicants.
  • It is reserved for applicants who fall into one of the categories listed in the table below. Each category requires supporting documentation. These documents should be attached to the application.
  • This type of membership provides the same access and privileges as regular memberships.
  • At the end of the one-year membership term, the member can re-apply for the appropriate Reduced Fee category.

Applicant is a Full-time student. Photo image of student ID or other relevant document demonstrating student status
Applicant is a young professional under the age of 35 on the date of application. Photo image of passport or other identification showing date of birth
Applicant resides in an eligible country (see list of qualifying countries on the IDA website). Image of document demonstrating residency status in a listed country
Applicant resides in a country under significant distress and can demonstrate financial need for reduced dues. Letter to the Executive Council explaining the circumstances
